Edit Flight Window

This window works in a very similar way to the Add Flight window.

When editing a flight, there are additional keyboard shortcuts available to save time entering data. Pressing F8 (the function key at the top of the keyboard) will copy data from the previous flight, saving retyping the same information over again when editing a sequence of flights.

For example, after importing a roster, you may operate a number of flights with the same first officer. Enter their name as normal in the first flight. While editing the second flight, with the cursor in the 'Co-pilot or Student' box, instead of typing the name again, press F8. The name will be copied from the previous sector. This feature works for aircraft registration, crew names, airports and comments. Note that airports will be swapped over, so pressing F8 in the 'From' box will copy the previous destination airport. Comments will be added to any existing text rather than replacing it.

Clicking on 'Delete Flight' will permanantly delete the flight from the database, after prompting for confirmation.
Clicking on 'Discard Changes' will close the 'Edit Flight' window. If you have made any changes, you will be asked to confirm this before your changes are lost.
Clicking on 'Save and Next' will save the flight to the database, and display the next flight in your log for editing. This button will not appear if you are editing the last flight in your log.
Clicking on 'Save and Exit' will save the flight to the database, and close the 'Edit Flight' window.

If there are any errors in the entries, a warning message will pop up to advise. See data entry for details of acceptable data formats.
