Add Simulator Detail
Database -> View Simulator Log
Database -> Add Detail(s)
If there are no previous details in the database, Date will default to today's date and all other boxes will be blank.
If previous details exist in the database, Date will default to today's date. Simulator Name, Simulator Type, Instructor, Pilot in Command, Co-Pilot, Crew Capacity and Detail Type will default to the values of the last detail added.
Pressing the 'Enter' key in any box except Comment will have the same effect as clicking the 'Save and Next' button. Pressing 'Enter' in the Comment box will start a new line of text in the comment.
Pressing the Up or Down cursor keys in the Date box will increment or decrement the date accordingly. Alternatively, use the pop-up calendar to select a date. See

The data to be entered is as follows:
- Detail Title - brief name for the detail 'IR Preparation' or 'Annual Check 1' for example.
- Simulator Name - simulator aircraft type, serial number, etc.
- Simulator Type:
- FNPT I - Flight Navigation Procedures Trainer Type 1 (basic generic IF simulator)
- FNPT II - Flight Navigation Procedures Trainer Type 2 (type specific IF simulator)
- FlightSim - Flight Simulator (type specific aircraft simulator with full motion and visual system)
- Detail Type:
- LPC/OPC - Line Proficiency Check / Operator Proficiency Check - Annual licence revalidation
- OPC - Operator Proficiency Check - 6-month check
- Course - Detail forms part of a training course (eg type conversion or LOFT), not a check detail
- Stand-In - Detail may be of any type, but is 'unofficial'
- Provisional data - marks the sim data as incomplete or inaccurate. Hours will not be included in any calculations.
Clicking on 'Discard Changes' will close the 'Add Simulator Detail' window. If you have made any changes, you will be asked to confirm this before your changes are lost.
Clicking on 'Save and Next' will save the detail to the database, and reset the 'Add Simulator Detail' window ready to add the next detail.
Clicking on 'Save and Exit' will save the detail to the database, and close the 'Add Simulator Detail' window.
